The Campus includes Academic and Administrative infrastructure comprising spacious and well lit spacious classrooms fully equipped with modern teaching aids, lecture halls, AC computer laboratories, Internet Wi-Fi facility, and library. The state-of-the-art Library of the Institute is a learning resource centre of the Institute. Apart from infrastructures SKFGI have Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of its engineering institution, namely, Sir J. C. Bose School of Engineering, with one of the most prestigious national laboratories of CSIR, namely, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani (Rajasthan). Both the participating institutes (SKFGI and CSIR-CEERI) under this MOU have ensured that all activities within the framework of the understanding are taken up keeping in view the mission and vision of both the organisations. Thus, through this agreement we have opened a new vista to the students of our Institute, who now get an opportunity to be trained through the state-of-the-art technology. Both the institutes have agreed under the programme to share the expenditure towards the travel and local hospitality involved in the mutual visits of the concerned personnel encompassing students, teachers, and scientists.

Thrust areas

Teaching is rooted in research. Research makes a course intellectually active, which is an important way to be active in an academic world. It not only adds a new flavor to teaching method but also has become indispensable in this Swinging Century. With Innovative Teaching the classroom no longer is bounded by four walls. We have a number of distinguished professors at SKFGI who have to their credit a large number of recent research publications in peer- reviewed journals of international repute co-authored by their students including B. Tech students.

In order to meet the challenges of the rapid evolutions in technology and the diversity of emerging career opportunities, the different departments of engineering and management are actively engaged in research activities. The following thrust areas have been identified by different departments:
