ENGINEERING AND ITS ROLE IN SOCIETY
The most important thing to the prosperity and security of the nation during an international, knowledge-driven economy can be its leadership in technology and innovation. Only the best engineering education and educators can create next-generation Stephen Hawkings. The true importance of engineering education can be measured by the changes we have seen globally. The world has faced indefinite challenges, energy crisis, development, climatic and other problems which needed some effective methods of solution. Engineers secure the faith of growing economy.

Engineering plays such an important role because it is the way that we humans are able to use the rules of the world to achieve things. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology teach us how the universe works, it gives us all the instructions we need as to how things interact. Engineering is the way of taking the instructions and using them to make the things that nature did not give us. It is the role of the engineer, however, to minimize the effects of damage on the surrounding ecosystems, and design necessary infrastructures that are both efficient and safe. It is the role of the engineer to protect the environment and the people within it. Engineers aim to benefit the people of the present by employing effective structures that are intended to improve transportation and living habits of earths inhabitants.

A booming growth of technical institutions has led to particularly acute issues and concerns for the engineering sector, where colleges are struggling to hire adequately qualified faculty, graduates are failing to find employment and regulators are under pressure to improve standards. India needs to reinvent its technical/engineering education system. Developing basic technical skills is just like a commodity worldwide. Engineers must prove their skill by their innovations and conceptual solutions which could be universally recognized. Engineering solves many problems that no other field of research can.

THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY IN THE DIGITAL WORLD
Today, cyber-attacks are no longer stopped by antivirus software or firewalls. The risk of cyber-attacks is constantly increasing and for companies and institutions it is no longer a question of if it will happen but rather when. This is why cyber security is of such great importance.

Cyber security is important because it encompasses everything that relates to protecting our data from cyber attackers who want to steal this information and use it to cause harm. This can be sensitive data, governmental and industry information, personal information, personally identifiable information (PII), intellectual property, and protected health information (PHI).

Having advanced cyber defence programs and mechanisms in place to protect this data is crucial and in everyones interest. Everyone in society relies on critical infrastructure such as hospitals and other healthcare institutions, financial service programs, and power plants. We need these to keep our society running.

At an individual level, cyber security attacks can lead to identity theft and extortion attempts, which can do serious damage to that individuals life.

We all rely on the safety of our data and personal information. For example, when logging into an application or when filling in more sensitive data in digital healthcare systems. If these systems, networks, and infrastructures don't have the right protection in place, our data might fall into the wrong hands. In this sense, we're talking about protection in the form of technology and policies.

The same goes for organisations and businesses, governments, the military, and other socially critical organisations. They store enormous amounts of data in data warehouses, on computers, and other devices. Much of this data includes sensitive information. Exposure of this information can in many cases be very harmful to citizen trust in institutions, to business competitiveness, personal reputations, and consumer trust in companies.
